Championship Rules

The rules are as follows:

Purpose
To encourage interest and participation in motor sport events by club members

Period
Commencing 1st January to 31st December of that year. The final date for claiming points will be Monday of the second week in January in the following year

Awards
The W.H. Vevers Club Championship Trophy to go to the Overall Winner, with the "Mike Read Off Road Trophy" awarded to the winner of the Off Road Champion. Members can only be awarded one trophy to be held for one year (plus a replica trophy). Winners of the W.H. Vevers Club Championship Trophy or the Trophy for the "Mike Read Off Road" Competition forfeit awards for other categories.

Category awards for most points scored for Autocross, Autotests, Trials, Rally Driver, Rally Navigator, Rallycross and Lady Competitor. All awards are subject to three entries and three events in that category being recorded in the results.

Category winners can win more than one category.

Eligibility
All full club members, their spouses and their children under the age of 17 will be eligible to claim points for any MSA authorised event using motor vehicles, with a condition that if WSMC are invited to an event in which points are claimed, then WSMC is the club under which they enter.

Points
• Points for WSMC events will be automatically recorded
• Points for other events to be claimed by submitting a complete set of results to the recorder, all WSMC members points will then be recorded (only one set of results need be submitted)
• Any member who does not wish to take part in the championship must inform the championship recorder
• Points for events with only one WSMC member who crew entered can be claimed in writing with the following information being provided within ONE month of the event:
Name/s; Event title, Category, Date; Number of entries in event; Result (take part, finish, secondary award, major award, premier award)
• Members are honour bound to claim correctly
• Point table as follows, members gaining the points appropriate to their results

Autocross, Autotests, Trials, Rally Driver, Rally Navigator, Rallycross, Sprints, Circuit Racing and Other (to include any event not included above)
• Results
The Individual Category Results. The 6 best scores in that category count
The Overall Winner. The total of all the above Category Results
The Off-Road Result. The off-road events from all the Category Results
• Updated results will appear in the Magazine

Definitions
Number of starters - The number of competitors (or crews in the case of rallies) starting the meeting
Taking Part - Actually starting the event, or official practice if appropriate
Finish - To complete the whole event or be deemed a finisher by the organisers
Secondary Award - Other awards given by the organisers e.g. class second or third, ladies, novice award, final win, marque, best member etc.
Major Award - Fist in class, "A" final win
Premier Award - FTD, best overall, super final win
Off-Road - Autocross, Autotests, Rallycross, Sprints, Circuit Racing, Trials that do not include road mileage, single venue rallies
Rally - Stage, road, night, navigational and scatter
Trial - PCT, night, sporting car, classic and other "Trial"

Interpretation
The decision of the Committee will be final in any matter of uncertainty in this Championship. In the event of a tie the most number of events will favour
